One of the improvements to Easytag when it became EasyTag-Note was that the timer continues to run in the background - even after the stop button has been tapped. This allows you to review data during quieter periods of the game where no tagging is required and even share the data with yourself or others via email. Previously, if the timer was stopped, the game was ended and a new one had to be created.

EasyTag-Note was designed for live tagging and linking the events to a corresponding video file. For this it is imperative that its timer continues to run and it is not necessary for you to stop it.

Perhaps you want to pause the timer because you want events to be tagged at game time (where the clock stops for injuries, breaks in play etc) and you have no intention of linking events to video? Here's how:

  1. Bring up the application menu. If you are currently working with the notebook you'll need to close it to see the menu.
  2. Choose Settings
  3. Switch the Pause Timer... setting ON
